Regulation
Insurance regulation was put in place by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in January 2005 and has resulted in many property managers and agents choosing to cease trading in insurance. For many others, in order to comply with regulation they have been forced to make significant changes in their business processes which have not only been onerous but impacted on their profit margins

We are able to offer advice on compliance issues and the implications of transacting property insurance in a regulated environment. The property market is complex and we have a thorough understanding of the compliance requirements that need to be considered and how that applies to the relevant parties involved.

In addition we engage the specialist services of Innovative Training Solutions Ltd (ITS) who advise insurance brokers, claims management companies, loss adjusters, managing agents and property owners.

ITS are able to offer a mixture of compliance and training functions including assistance with current changes being brought about by the Financial Conduct Authority towards principles based regulation. This also includes a range of training and monitoring programmes that can be offered to our clients with particular consideration to understanding and treating customers fairly.
